I fully support water conservation efforts, and I will continue to support the building of more reservoirs in Georgia. Our current drought has created an emergency situation for the State; however the current water supply is not adequate to support projected growth. Even if rainfall amounts return to normal levels, Atlanta will not be able to meet their needs in less than ten years. We must prevent Atlanta or any other municipality from draining our lakes and diverting our rivers.
