The ability to effectively
communicate and articulate the concerns of the people of
Georgia House District 117 will be crucial now, more than ever,
considering the difficult economic times we're facing. Of the
candidates running for the Georgia House of Representatives,
Brett McGuire is the most qualified candidate with the
education, management experience, public service, military
service and the proven ability to communicate what's important
to the district and get results. Brett McGuire announced today that once elected,
he will
provide a weekly call-in report to news-talk radio shows who
wish to participate and keep the citizens informed.
McGuire's objective is
to keep the citizens of District 117 informed on the
issues being considered in the Georgia House of
Representatives. McGuire commented, "since the beginning of
my campaign, I have stressed how I will stay in touch with my
constituents, receive feedback, and vote according to their
beliefs and conservative values. One of the best ways to keep everyone
informed is to allow exclusive interviews with the news-talk radio shows in the market."
McGuire will call in to
news-talk radio shows weekly while the House is in session. When the House of Representatives is not in session,
he will call in monthly and be available for live interviews.
He will keep all media outlets informed with regular
press releases and phone calls. A monthly newsletter is also
being developed, and his website will have direct
communications access for his constituents. In addition to
McGuire's communication efforts with local citizens, he is
developing a communications network with various groups and
organizations (Commissioners, non-profit, Boards of Education,
etc) to receive feedback and keep them informed.
Brett McGuire is always
accessible. From the beginning
of his campaign, McGuire has always had his personal cell
phone number listed on printed material, showing his commitment to be
accessible to the citizens and communicate with them.... an original idea
that other candidates are now using, including his opponent.
"I'm flattered that my opponent also sees me as a leader
with new, creative, original ideas", stated McGuire.
McGuire
added, "besides the importance of issues such as tax
reform, lower energy costs, water resources, illegal
immigration, and improving our health care
system, the most comments I hear are concerning how the
citizens want to be informed. They have also expressed their
confidence in me to be a leader and articulate their concerns.
I pledge to do just that."
